What is Home Care?
What is Home Care?
Home care offers a variety of services when you want to stay in your home, but would benefit from additional help. These services can be healthcare related (e.g., perform blood pressure checks or help you manage your medication) or personal care in nature (e.g., help you with meals or personal hygiene.)
Legacy Home Care services are often started when:
- A family member is worried about a loved one living alone
- Your loved one needs additional support to be safe at home
- When a loved one is recently released from a hospital stay
- When a loved one suffers from a chronic medical condition
- A loved one is receiving hospice care
Who benefits from home care?
Our skilled home care may be provided by a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occuptational Therapist, or Speech Therapist. Seniors and those living with chronic illness, disability, those who are receiving hospice care, or those who are recovering from an accident or surgery benefit from private pay home care. Our home care clients may receive assistance with medication management, bathing, feeding, running errands, preparing meals, housekeeping, setting up health appointments, and other services. Some of these services may be covered by Medicare. We offer Medicare and Medicaid-Certified home care services through Home Health Care, Inc. You’ll enjoy the same staff and more seamless care should you qualify to receive home care services that are covered by insurance.
Seniors who are in relatively good health can also benefit from Legacy Home Care services. Having additional support at home on a regular basis can bring peace of mind. It allows our clients to have the the confidence and energy they need to be able to focus on things they enjoy doing. It can also help them avoid a health crisis that might require hospitalization or nursing home care.
